Summary

Dero designs innovative, high-quality and functional bicycling infrastructure that people rely on every day. We take pride in our American-made craftsmanship, sustainable practices, excellent customer service and expertise in bike parking, public bike repair and street design amenities. The Director of Sales provides leadership for all sales activities. This position is responsible for planning and implementing sales, inside, outside and contracted, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets regarding all products of Dero.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement effective sales plans and strategies to drive growth and achieve corporate objectives for products and services.

2. Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets.

3. Direct staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs.

4. Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.

5. Direct sales channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas and goals.

6. Organize and execute on field visits to outside and Dero rep groups as a means for communication, evaluation and strategy.

7. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales reports and forecasts, and present to management.

8. Develop and manage sales operating budget.

9. Optimize profit/loss ratio and market share.

10. Represent company at trade shows to promote products.

11. Collaborate with Marketing and Product Development department to ensure brand consistency and market competitiveness.

12. Utilize CRM tools to monitor team performance and customer satisfaction.

Education and/or Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field

2. Five years minimum related experience with strong management skills

Travel This position requires significant travel-up to 15%

Computer Skills

 Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and AutoCAD

 Demonstrated proficiency using CRM software, AX/Dynamics, HubSpot or similar systems
