Responsible for the aggregation of regional masterplans into the Global Gorilla product innovation masterplan. Leader of development and management of the Gorilla brand category expansion programs. Key brand partner to R&D and other technical functions as needed. Brand owner of masterplan and stage gating processes. In partnership with regional brand and sales leaders, influences the development of the brand equity and portfolio. This role has high visibility and frequently presents to and collaborates with Brand and Sales leadership to shape the Global Gorilla portfolio strategy. Serve as a thought leader responsible for leading, shaping and driving strategic brand initiatives.

What will your day look like?

Category Expansion

  • In partnership with Chief Brand Officer, identify and create a vision for future category expansion for the Gorilla brand. Lead planning and implementation efforts to get there. Enroll key stakeholders and lead the recommendation plans through Global Brand LT and GLT.

  • Lead recommendation development for new category programs from idea/concept to discovery and development.

  • Partner with consumer insights to develop appropriate consumer research activities. Recommend and coordinate use of agency and innovation partners as needed.

  • Build preliminary Go-to-Market plan for new category, taking on input from key regional stakeholders.

  • Inspire and lead cross-functional teams; work closely with other departments to ensure project success.

  • Influence customer teams as needed with thought-leadership in the areas of: brand positioning, consumer insights, innovation, and best practices.

 

Masterplan

  • Work with NA, EU and Asia/Pac regional brand teams to develop their regional masterplans, analyze sufficiency vs goals. Lead the process to get alignment of regional plans by the global brand leadership team – done on a semi-annual basis.

  • Aggregate the regional masterplans into global masterplan and develop recommendation for the Global Leadership team on a semi-annual basis.

  • Influence and assess overall innovation funnel and pipeline health

  • Represents Gorilla with marketing and brand management expertise

  • Accelerate growth through consumer insights, instinct, exploring consumer unmet needs, competitive and market analyses and deep understanding of emerging trends.

 

Brand Partner for Technical Functions

  • Partner with technical functions (R&D, Packaging Development, Operations) as needed on technical projects.

  • Work with “Feed the Funnel/Tech Scouting” teams to identify promising ideas, manage process for qualifying which ideas move forward.

  • Process owner for improvements in overall NPD process, identifying efficiencies as well as gaps, enrolling and training regional NPD owners.
