About your role:

This is a professional, hands-on, full-time position that includes day-to-day duties of reviewing vendor drawings, utilizing Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) drawings and 3D modeling programs to create 3D models, and preparing and reviewing the bill of materials.

Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities

  • 3D Modeling
    • Utilize P&ID drawing to create 3D piping models.
    • Create 3D Models from vendor drawings.
    • Create 3D models of chutes and ducts.
    • Coordinate with all disciplines to create an accurate and complete model.
  • Construction Drawings
    • Prepare final construction drawings to accurately reflect the engineered design.
    • Create piping isometric drawings from a 3D model.
    • Create piping plans from a 3D model.
    • Prepare a bill of materials from a 3D model.
    • Create detailed drawings for fabrication from 3D model.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Work Hours:

Company Hours

This position works from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours vary and are dependent on business needs.

40-Hour Work Week

Monday through Friday, Hours may vary with the workload.

Evenings/Weekends/OT

As needed to satisfy the requirements of the position.

Mechanical Designer 4

10+ years previous drafting or modeling experience utilizing AutoDesk products required.

 

3+ years leadership experience required.

Associates Degree preferred.

This position has immediate oversight of team members most of the time performing the same or directly related work as those the position leads. This role should also exhibit competent job knowledge, adaptability to changes in the work environment and the ability to make sound and accurate judgement.

  • The work environment is the typical office environment. Must be able to drive to sites or meetings with clients.
