Position: HEAD FOOTBALL COACH
Reports To: Athletic Director
Classification: Exempt
Lane College, an NCAA Division II Conference Member invites all qualified candidates to apply for the position of Head Football Coach. The Head Football Coach reports to the Athletic Director (AD) and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising of all phases of the football program, demonstrating a working knowledge of and the ability to comply with NCAA, SIAC Conference and College rules and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct athletics skill development for the football student-athletes
- Collaboratively work with the AD to hire, evaluate the performance of and assist in the development of the full- and part-time assistant coaches
- Create and implement fundamental and position-specific
- Develop and implement a plan of a better understanding of the game for each of the student-athletes
- Recruit qualified football student-athletes to an academically, faith-based environment.
- Monitor student-athlete academic performance and welfare of the student
- Advise student-athletes and staff of applicable NCAA rules, regulations and policies, and ensure compliance of such regulations.
- Work with budgetary guidelines established by the Athletics Director
