Big Canyon Country Club is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equipment Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and inventory of all Golf Course Maintenance equipment and the Maintenance Facilities. The Equipment Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the Golf Course Maintenance operations, contributing directly to the exceptional quality of our golf course.

- Oversee and manage the maintenance, repair, and servicing of all Golf Course Maintenance equipment, including mowers, tractors, sprayers, utility vehicles, and other specialized machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, as well as perform necessary repairs or coordinate with external vendors for complex repairs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop environment.
- Manage the inventory of parts, supplies, and tools, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effective procurement.
- Collaborate with the Director of Agronomy and other Golf Course Maintenance staff to identify equipment needs and plan for replacements or new acquisitions.
- Ensure all equipment is operated safely and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and club policies.
- Manage and supervise any assistant equipment technicians, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest equipment technologies and best practices in Golf Course Maintenance.
- Assist with budget preparation and management related to equipment maintenance and repair.
- Adhere to the proper recycling and/or disposal of all lubricants, chemicals and any other hazardous materials.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
- Maintain accurate records of all equipment maintenance, repairs, parts inventory, and service schedules.
- Manage the performance of all support vendors and contractors such as equipment dealers, electrical, HVAC, plumbing etc.
- Manage all environmental operating permits such as AQMD, CARB, OSHA, CERS, OCHCA, Fire Dept.
- Ensure regulatory compliance in all areas.
