THIS IS A FULL-TIME, SEASONAL POSITION FOR THE SUMMER 2025 SEASON (APRIL THROUGH THE BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER)

Mission Point Resort, Mackinac Islands’ only full service, casual resort is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Retail Sales Attendant. This full time/seasonal position is located on Mackinac Island and offers competitive pay, housing, other perks. The ideal applicant will have retail sales experience, possess an upbeat leadership style, and have experience working in a multi-cultural environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary role of the Retail Sales Attendant is to execute the day-to-day operations of the Retail Department, ensure the storefront is stocked and presentable and provide exceptional service to our guests in the various retail outlets.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Creative flair for fashion, cosmetics & accessories
  • Working knowledge of POS processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards within the department
  • Proactive approach, with exceptional initiative and problem solving abilities to ensure the highest level of productivity.
  • Take every opportunity to amaze guests
  • Ability to live and work on Mackinac Island seasonally
  • Actively work with products by stocking, replenishing, folding, hanging, displaying and merchandising to maximize selling opportunities.
  • Assist with the selling floor layout and be innovative in the placement to attract prospective clients.
  • Provide excellent customer service according to Mission Point Resort standards on the selling floor, in the fitting room and at the cash wrap.
  • Protect the security of cash, inventory, and other assets according to company guidelines.
  • Answer phones professionally, courteously and promptly.
  • Assist in the creation of various sale promotions and ensure that they are reaching our desired clientele by way of social media, flyers and word of mouth.
  • Work effectively with team members to ensure the selling floor, cash wrap, fitting rooms and stockrooms are clean and well maintained.
