Bellman/Dockporter

THIS IS A FULL-TIME, SEASONAL POSITION FOR THE SUMMER 2025 SEASON (APRIL THROUGH THE BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER)

Mission Point Resort, Mackinac Islands' only full service, casual resort is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Bellman/Dockporter. This full time/seasonal position is located on Mackinac Island and offers competitive pay, housing, other perks. The ideal applicant will have at least one year of guest/customer service experience, possess an upbeat leadership style, and have experience working in a multi-cultural environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary role of the Bellman/Dockporter is to work with the front office team to provide Mission Point Resort guests with an exceptional guest service experience. The bellman/dockporter's primary role is to unload/load luggage carts between the docks and resort, sort luggage and deliver it to the appropriate guest room. The position works closely with the Bell Captain and reports to the Guest Services Manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Take every opportunity to amaze guests
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Be an enthusiastic, helpful and positive member of the team
• Be self-motivated and use time wisely
• Be able to speak and understand English
• Extensive knowledge of the Island, the hotel and its services and facilities
