THIS IS A FULL-TIME, SEASONAL POSITION FOR THE SUMMER 2025 SEASON (APRIL THROUGH THE BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER)

Mission Point Resort, Mackinac Islands’ only full service, casual resort is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Kitchen Lead. This full time/seasonal position is located on Mackinac Island and offers competitive pay and other perks. The ideal applicant will have one to two years of experience in the culinary field, possess an upbeat leadership style, and have experience working in a multi-cultural environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Kitchen Lead, you will fill a key leadership role with an industry-recognized leader in hospitality services. The primary role of the Kitchen Lead is to manage the kitchen staff in the daily production, preparation and presentation of all food for the hotel restaurants or banquet kitchen in a safe and sanitary work environment. Must ensure all food is served according to specifications and be responsible for supervising all areas of the kitchen working in conjunction with all Line Cooks and Sous Chefs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • One year or more of experience in the culinary industry is required.
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Working knowledge of Culinary processes and procedures
  • ServSafe Certification preferred
  • Ability to live and work on Mackinac Island seasonally
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours a week including weekends and holidays.
