Coffee Shops Manager

THIS IS A FULL-TIME, SEASONAL POSITION FOR THE SUMMER 2025 SEASON (APRIL THROUGH EARLY NOVEMBER)

Mission Point Resort, Mackinac Islands’ only full service, casual resort is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Coffee Shops Manager overseeing our Coffee Shop/Grab-and-Go outlets. This full time/seasonal position is located on Mackinac Island and offers competitive pay, housing, other perks. The ideal applicant will have two or more years of experience in Food and Beverage leadership (ideally with coffee/barista experience), possess an upbeat leadership style, and have experience working in a multi-cultural environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary role of the Coffee Shops Manager is to ensure that the highest standards for customer service, food presentation and safety and sanitation are maintained throughout the coffee shops and grab and go outlets. This individual will ensure guest satisfaction while being responsible for the short-term planning and daily operations of the restaurant, and will direct his/her team by performing a variety of duties to ensure a consistently clean, orderly and attractive environment within the outlets.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of a High School diploma and two years’ experience in F&B Leadership in a fast-paced environment. Barista/Coffee Shop leadership experience is desired.
• ServSafe and Etip Certified
• Advanced knowledge of Point of Sale system
• Advanced knowledge of serving processes and procedures
• Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards within the Food and Beverage department
• Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations, health department regulations, certification preferred
• Proactive approach, with exceptional initiative and problem-solving abilities to ensure the highest level of productivity.
• Ability to live and work on Mackinac Island seasonally
