THIS IS A FULL-TIME, SEASONAL POSITION FOR THE SUMMER 2025 SEASON (THROUGH THE BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER)

Mission Point Resort, Mackinac Islands' only full service, casual resort is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Host/Hostess. This full time/seasonal position is located on Mackinac Island and offers competitive pay, housing, other perks. The ideal applicant will possess an upbeat attitude, and enjoy working in a multi-cultural environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

As the Host/Hostess, you will fill a key role with an industry-recognized leader in hospitality services. It is a priority of the Host/Hostess to ensure guests receive an exceptional dining experience. This individual will perform a variety of activities including being the welcoming face to the restaurant, taking reservations, overseeing the flow of seating in the restaurant, greeting and seating guests, all to ensure a consistent and excellent experience for the guests. This position reports directly to the Server Supervisor and F&B Outlet Managers.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Working knowledge of POS Systems
• Working knowledge of Host/Hostess processes and procedures
• Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards within the department
• Proactive approach, with exceptional initiative and problem-solving abilities to ensure the highest level of productivity.
• Ability to live and work on Mackinac Island seasonally
