Description

Interviews customers to compile and maintain records of business transactions and office activities. Processes orders for delivery or service received by mail, telephone, or personally from customers or company employees. Keeps accounting records and compiles information requested by customers and others pertaining to customer accounts. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The ideal candidate will help achieve the cooperative’s mission and goals while providing outstanding customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Speak with customers by phone or in person to set up new service or make changes to existing service.
  • Process propane orders and/or schedule service work on customer account.
  • Place outbound calls to current customers.
  • Research and respond timely to customer questions regarding their account and service work.
  • Verify and finalize driver paperwork and payments received.
  • Mail/retrieve customer requested documents.
  • Scan documents to customer accounts.
  • Call and/or mail correspondence to customers as needed to gather necessary information and update accounts.
  • Follows company policies and procedures regarding the processing of patron credit and collection as directed by the Credit Department.

Assists with related special projects, as assigned.
 

Qualifications

  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word and Excel spreadsheet software and Accounting software.
  • Typing: Minimum of 35 wpm
  • 10-key: Minimum of 8000 kph

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.

 

The actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
