Position Summary

 

We seek a dynamic, organized, innovative Marketing Manager to oversee the day-to-day functions of the Marketing Department, including management of associates, budget, projects, programs, communications, campaigns and promotions, digital transformation, vendors, events, adherence to brand and compliance guidelines, and deadlines. The Marketing Manager works closely with peer management team members on corporate-level projects and programs. They also actively seek opportunities to introduce growth, strategic and process improvements, and innovations such as helping the organization to transition from traditional to digital channels, automation, and greater use of data and personalization. This individual achieves maximum performance from the Marketing team, is well-versed in marketing theory and practical application, highly organized, able to handle multiple priorities, and has excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

 

This is a hybrid-based position requiring at least 2 days a week in our Van Nuys office.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Support the strategic growth goals of the department and organization.
  • Manage department personnel, workflow, and deadlines.
  • Create and manage the department budget.
  • Provide input into, and oversee execution of communications, marketing plans, campaigns, promotions, events, programs, projects, etc.
  • Support the creation of marketing plans, strategies, and programs for deepening relationships with existing members, new membership growth, and utilization of products, services, and delivery channels.
  • Ensure all deliverable deadlines are met, ensure accuracy and effectiveness of all marketing materials, make proactive course corrections to achieve necessary outcomes.
  • Actively be involved in establishing departmental and individual goals, measure and analyze all marketing efforts, and introduce improvements based upon results.
  • Determine member wants and needs through market and consumer research, surveys, testing, and analytics.
  • Monitor and manage social media presence and ensure timely/appropriate response.
  • Ensure our website remains up to date, accurate, and available.

Additional Duties

  • Provide general support to Vice President and other executives as needed.
  • Participate in, and lead, multiple project teams.
  • Review and approve all marketing materials and invoices.
  • Attend sponsored events and other member functions/events, as needed.
  • Train, evaluate, and develop associates.
  • Provide support at miscellaneous on-site and off-site marketing events, as needed.
  • Work overtime, nights, and weekends, as needed.
  • Additional miscellaneous tasks and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

•    5 years of related management experience.
•    Experience in banking or financial services industry.
•    Extensive knowledge of consumer behavior, marketing promotions, advertising, direct mail, email marketing, websites, social media marketing, search engine optimization, paid search advertising, marketing automation, and compliance regulations.
•    Demonstrated problem solving, multitasking, ability to meet deadlines, to manage projects, and organization skills.
•    Familiarity with websites and online/mobile Banking platforms, credit union and banking computer systems, CRM, CMS, SEO, SEM/PPC, workflow systems, project management tools, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, etc.

Education and Certificates/Licenses
Bachelor's degree requirements, master’s degree in related discipline preferred.

This position involves primarily non-manual labor. Reliable, predictable, on-time attendance is essential, particularly to assure duties are fulfilled. The associate will spend most of the working time sitting, standing or walking, including significant time using computers. Position requires repetitive hand movements, the daily ability to focus on several tasks at one time, analyze data and draw conclusions, quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations, analyze and explain complex information, communicate frequently with others in person, over the phone, via electronic communications, and in group presentations.  The associate must be able to travel regularly among the branches supervised.  The position may include occasional lifting of up to 15 lbs.
