5-Axis CNC Programmer

Job Responsibilities:

• Write and modify machine programs according to company standards.
• Develop programs using MasterCam.
• Create programs for cutting foam mold plugs with complex surfaces. 
• Create programs for cutting fiberglass parts with complex cutting paths.
• Test and debug programs to ensure they are working correctly.
• Optimize system to improve workflow, quality, and cycle time.
• Create training documentation.
• Provide support to the engineering team during the implementation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Train other team members on the use of the programs.
• Perform mechanical tasks including loading and unloading parts.
• Work with engineering to design mold plugs.  Assemble raw materials for plug structures.
• Open Solidworks models and add features for cad to path functionality.

Education and Experience:

• 2 Year technology degree
• 5+ years of experience programming and set-up machining applications.
• 3+ years of Mastercam experience
• Extensive knowledge of machining and strong machining skills.
• Experience programming and working with 5-Axis simultaneous CNC machining center.
• Medium to high level of experience with tools and inserts.
• Experience in inspection of machined parts.
• Experience with Solidworks.
• Must possess mechanical aptitude.
• Must possess ability to convey concepts and ideas.
• Must possess ability to read part prints.
• Must have general knowledge of industry products.
• Must have knowledge of local distributors of products.
• Must possess computer literacy, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
• Must possess demonstrated organizational skills.
• Must have ability to prioritize and handle many tasks simultaneously.
• Must exercise team effort to achieve success.
• Must display respect for peers, subordinates, supervisors, and customers.
• Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
