As part of the Financial Futures Internship program, you will gain a real-world view of the financial planning industry. We provide an opportunity for mentorship and career development including coaching on your resume, cover letter, strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities discussion. We will also train on a variety of financial literacy topics such as credit score/reporting, budgeting, emergency fund, and how to read various types of documents as they relate to personal finance (paystubs, tax returns, debt statements, employee benefits, etc.).

The Financial Planning Interns work jointly with the Financial Planning Manager, Financial Planning Associate Director, and Financial Planning Director in reviewing, analyzing, and delivering financial plans to clients. You will have the opportunity to work with a team of dynamic, collaborative, and client-focused professionals who are focused on delivering on our founding core values: Integrity, Entrepreneurial, Excellence and Community.

What You’ll Do

  • Work on clients with assets under management (AUM) of $500K-$2MM/more straight forward plans
  • Manage and maintain the EP Financial Planning (FP) process/procedures/deliverables – including reviewing data gathered, inputting FPs, creating assumptions/agenda pages, generating scenarios, internal review with the advisor before client meeting, presenting to clients, preparing action plans and reports, upload appropriate documents to the vault, organizing Egnyte and the vault
  • Assist clients with setting up PFW, maintaining/troubleshooting connections.
  • Assisting advisors with action plan implementation including preparing stand-alone analysis on topics such as: tax planning/projections, social security optimization, and property & casualty insurance planning
  • Conduct analysis of trends and forecasts, recommendation actions for optimization, and perform ongoing research as required by the Director of Financial Planning
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and perform business functions with focus on consistency, quality, and compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned and required
