POSITION SUMMARY:
The Scheduler is responsible to answer phones, schedule appointments and perform administrative duties in an anesthesia office. Will be expected to perform quality assurance, recruiting or office administrative duties depending on region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for answering, screening, and directing calls on a multi-line phone system in a courteous and professional manner.
- Responsible for retrieving messages throughout the day and forwarding messages to appropriate staff.
- Schedules cases with surgeon offices and or facilities in a multi-provider office.
- Performs clerical duties for physician office and corporate office when need.
- Follows all HIPAA standards, policies and procedures and maintain patient confidentiality in accordance to policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements
- Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility at NPH
- Provide a high level of customer service
- Coordinates next days schedule with physicians
- Create and maintains daily/monthly call, meeting and vacation schedules and distribute accordingly.
- Enter schedules into database and distribute (fax, email, and mail) to appropriate staff, clinician and/or appropriate hospital personnel.
- Fill all open shifts and emergency openings as they arise.
- Negotiate with clinicians.
- Upload and update website with scheduling information daily
- Run and/or create various reports for management.
- Educate new clinicians on scheduling protocols and guidelines
- Interfaces with site scheduling administrators to ensure coverage needs are met
- Reconcile clinician hours and submits reports to payroll department and provide analysis as needed
- After hour's on-call duty may be required
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Adherence to and compliance with information systems security is everyones responsibility. Report information systems security problems.
