Primary Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains quality, accurate clinical charts for all clients served. 
  • Provides clinically competent mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment services; develops clinical impressions; formulates and reviews treatment plans; plans and conducts individual and group counseling (when possible) sessions in accordance with identified treatment goals and objectives. 
  • Advocate with jail staff
  • Complete care coordination as needed
  • Consults with multi-disciplinary team, consumer, and referral sources prior to therapeutic discharge
  • communication with hospital and jail staff.

Standard Work Hours

  • Full-time
  • Some evenings and weekends may be required

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • None.

 

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a work environment that is situated within a jail setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree minimum, master's degree preferred 

  • Licensure/Certification: dual license preferred with a declared scope in chemical dependency; LSW, CDCA minimum; LCDC II, LSW, LPC preferred.   

Other: CPR; First Aid; De-escalation, demonstrated competencies for working with the populations served.
