We are an established real estate law firm with offices across California. Our San Diego office is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our fast-paced team. If chosen as the successful candidate, you will be responsible for assisting the Accounting department in various accounting functions which support our firm including accounts receivable, billing, and reporting.

Compensation:
$27.00 to $30.00/hr DOE + benefits
Responsibilities:
High volume position that focuses on daily posting of received payments, reports, account analysis, month-end adjustments, and special/seasonal projects as assigned. Assist the firm in collecting revenue from clients by creating, editing, sending, and following up on client invoices and managing basic A/R functionalities within the Department, including periodic meetings with practice group Managing Partners. Reliable attendance, where work is performed and completed at a KTS office, is required.
- Daily Deposit Process – High volume posting of Client payments received via check, ACH, and credit card where thoroughness and attention to detail is key. Includes accurate reporting of payments received into ProLaw and ensuring accuracy of deposit and tape records sent to the bank.
- Create and edit client invoices for services provided by the firm and ensuring invoices are accurate and complete. Responsible for uploading electronic invoices to portals selected by the client.
- Accurately enter information into ProLaw to track status of client payments.
- Accept client and collections credit card payments over the phone.
- Assist A/R team as needed with client follow up on unpaid invoices.
- Assist Accounting Manager with month end / ad-hoc reporting needs
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- 1-3 years accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Strong working knowledge and comfort with Microsoft Excel
- Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute
- High-volume typing or data entry skills with low error rate
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Versatile computer skills
- Strong communication skills
The following qualifications are preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
- Previous experience with ProLaw, Paycom, Nextiva, Vendor Café (or similar client portals).
- Experience in a law firm environment
Schedule:
Position is full-time at 40 hours/week. Schedule is 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday.
We currently offer a hybrid in-office remote work model for select positions within the Firm. New hire employees who are offered a hybrid schedule will complete the majority of their onboarding and training in-office as deemed necessary for the position by the firm before transitioning to a hybrid schedule, subject to approval by their supervisor.
