What You'll Be Doing:
- Building, configuring, installing, maintaining, and upgrading Linux servers (Debian, Oracle, on-premises, and cloud).
- Developing, testing, and validating security solutions for web and database servers.
- Evaluating and implementing software patches to address system vulnerabilities.
- Managing the secondary disaster recovery location, including server copies, data, security, and authorizations.
- Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high availability.
- Developing, testing, and deploying server configuration management tools (Ansible or Puppet).
- Collaborating with DevOps and Windows Administrators on infrastructure projects.
- Supporting application deployments and infrastructure improvements.
- Providing Linux-related support and guidance to internal teams.
- Working with third-party vendors and evaluating their proposals.
- Analyzing and solving complex technical problems.
- Documenting system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of four years of previous related experience as a Linux Administrator.
- Technical Prowess:
- Strong knowledge of popular server operating systems and virtualization technologies.
- Solid understanding of databases and networking/security principles.
- Familiarity with AWS EC2 and other AWS services.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- In-depth knowledge of system security, hardening techniques, and best practices.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, DNS management).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate with and interpret the requirements of end users.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of internal and external business partners. Â

- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated respect and discipline for privacy and confidentiality, with a strong understanding of company privacy policies and regulations.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to occasionally lift/pull/carry up to 25 pounds, stand, sit, talk, hear, use hands, and operate typical office equipment. Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Regular mental demands including comprehension, reasoning, decision-making, and strong math skills. Some travel may be required.
