City Ventures, is seeking a Land Acquisition Intern to learn and support one of the Irvine teams in all aspects of acquiring land and real property, including opportunity identification, qualification, land use research, conceptual land planning, proforma underwriting, transaction/deal structuring, and due diligence analysis. This is a unique and highly specialized learning opportunity in how to initiate and maintain relationships with commercial and residential real estate brokers, property owners, and city development staff and to monitor publicly owned assets and Requests for Proposals, city general plan/zoning amendments, and city housing elements to procure and evaluate acquisition leads. The position is based in our Irvine office. However, some time will be necessary to attend off site meetings that will enhance the internship experience.

Compensation: $20 per hour.

Benefits: This position is not eligible for benefits.

Required Experience:
•Degree in business, politics, real estate or urban planning is preferred or in progress.
•Strong analytical skills and able to multi-task in a constantly changing environment.
•Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
•High energy, passionate, curious, and resourceful.
•Must have reliable transportation and a clean driver’s license to be able to drop off plans, visit local cities etc.
