- PhD in a health-related field (e.g., Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Nutrition, Health Sciences)
- Current certification/credential in an allied health or wellness-related discipline
- Demonstrated success in undergraduate teaching

- Effective instructional skills, including the ability to engage and motivate students through interactive and applied learning methods.
- Available to maintain a regular presence on campus, including holding office hours, attending meetings and university events
- Strong organizational and time management skills, balancing teaching, mentoring, and service responsibilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a proactive approach to curriculum development and innovation in health and wellness education.
- Proven ability to build rapport with students, faculty, and staff
- A willingness to collaborate effectively in a diverse academic environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with students, faculty, and external stakeholders.
- Strong classroom management skills, fostering a structured, inclusive, and engaging educational environment.
- Ability to assess student learning and apply innovative strategies to enhance comprehension and retention.
- Technological proficiency, including experience with learning management systems (LMS), virtual teaching tools, and digital assessments.
- Commitment to student success, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and guide students in their academic and professional development.
