Qualifications:
- Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Sports Management, Exercise Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing aquatics programs and facilities.
Required Certifications:
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO).
- Current Lifeguard Certification and CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) certification.
- Experience in higher education or campus recreation setting.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Ability to work in a noisy environment with children and young adults for extended periods. •
- Frequent standing, walking, and swimming required. •
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds. Schedule and Availability:
- Must be available to work Monday – Friday, excluding holidays, from 6/27/25 to 8/15/25 to accommodate facility operations and programming needs.
