Position Summary:

The Program Coordinator serves as a key member of the Hynes Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation's team and is responsible for the operational management of Hynes Institute and its programming. In addition, this role will maintain administrative activities and support daily tasks related to the curricular including recruitment, enrollment, administrative support, marketing and additional tasks related to the programs.

This position reports directly to the Associate Director and will work collaboratively with the entire team to ensure that students are at the forefront of the entrepreneurial ecosystem at Iona. 

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure all marketing materials are up to date and readily available.
  • Compose communication to students regarding, but not limited to, course enrollment, dean's list, etc.
  • Process & report on all expenses including purchasing cards.
  • Work with the team to ensure adequate resources are in place for events and course scheduling (i.e. room scheduling, catering orders, etc). 
  • Assist in ensuring Policies and Procedures for the Hynes Institute are upheld 
  • General administrative support duties (e.g., organizing and filing documents, maintaining databases, reconciling purchase card expenses).
  • Receptionist functions of Hynes Institute (answer phones/emails).
  • Maintain operational calendar for the Institute and its programming.
  • Schedules and organizes activities like meetings, travel, conferences, and department activities for all Hynes Institute members. 
  • Additional projects as determined by the associate director will be assigned as needed.

 

 

Qualifications

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree required.

Required Experience

  • Experience working within an entrepreneurship education environment in higher education preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, writing skills, and interpersonal and presentation skills.

The Hynes Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation was established in 2017 through a record-setting $15 million gift from James P. Hynes '69,' 01H and Anne Marie Hynes. It is an interdisciplinary program that fosters the development of creativity, leadership and entrepreneurship skills critical for success in a global economy.
