Description

Iona University seeks a general carpenter responsible for maintaining:

  • All campus buildings interior and exterior structures and components
  • Interior and exterior minor construction projects
  • Small cabinet making and furniture construction and repairs

The scheduled hours for this position are 7:30 am - 4:00. M-F

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in all areas of the trades department as needed
  • Flooring, ceilings, walls, light carpentry, light electrical.
  • Maintain windows on campus
  • Keep all flags on campus in good repair
  • Assist with painting when required
  • Respond to requests from the Supervisor to assist in other departments as needed
  • Respond to request for snow removal
  • Any other duties as requested
  • Valid Driver's License 

 

 

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Ceiling, wall and floor tile installation
  • Proficient painter
