Description

Iona University, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, is seeking a video coordinator for women's basketball. The position will oversee all aspects of the video and editing needs of the basketball team. In accordance with all NCAA, Conference and University policies and procedures, this individual will report directly to the head coach of the women's basketball program.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Manage all video-related activities for the Iona University Women's Basketball program. Coordinate the taping of games via television, the internet, and other social media outlets.
  • Plan all film exchanges with opponents.
  • Download games via Synergy Sports and load onto coaching staff computers.
  • Prepare video edits of individual players for the coaching staff to review with student-athletes during their weekly meetings.
  • Prepare video edits of potential recruits for the coaching staff to review.
  • Create highlight films for graduating student-athletes to assist with their professional career opportunities.
  • Maintain an organized library system for filing all practice, workouts, games, and opponent scouting folders.
  • Assist student-managers with their film duties at practice and games.
  • Assist coaching staff with on-campus recruiting visits and other recruiting duties.
  • Other duties as assigned by the head coach and/or assistant coaching staff.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications/Skills

  • One year of experience in a collegiate sport-specific program is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with video editing software.
  • Effective communication, both written and oral
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of student-athletes, coaches & staff
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Exceptionally strong organizational skills
  • Highly proficient with current technology and trends
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
