Position Summary:

The Student Engagement Coordinator serves as a key member of the Hynes Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation’s team, working closely with the associate and assistant directors, responsible of the facilitation of mission-driven and impactful student experiences.  This position reports directly to the Assistant Director and will work collaboratively with the entire team to ensure that students are in the forefront of the entrepreneurial eco-system at Iona. 

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Facilitator of mission-driven and impactful student experiences with Iona students, and student club organizations.
  • Program advocate to raise awareness and engage student in various program offerings.
  • Engage students, visitors and community stakeholders at our coworking space in Spellman Hall and GaelVentures and refer them to appropriate resources/faculty/staff.
  • Logistical oversight and support of co-curricular programs from pre- to post-event (including event invites, RSVPS, ROS, catering, setup, technology needs, metrics, 25-Live, etc.)
  • Coordination of program and student data collection and analysis for program assessment and reporting.
  • Maintain contact and engagement information for multiple distribution lists including student, mentors and collaborator lists.
  • Additional projects as determined by the associate director will be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required

Required Experience

  • Experience of working within an entrepreneurship education environment in higher education.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain relationships with multiple constituencies to support academic program development.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, writing skills and interpersonal and presentations skills.
