POSITION SUMMARY

The warehouse lead is responsible for verifying and maintaining warehouse and inventory accuracy throughout Warehouse; ensuring that associates are supported, and inventory accuracy is always within company expectations. This includes verifying all inbound and outbound loads at the time of unloading and loading, to ensure that BOL, product and WEL’s records all match the load. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Conduct safety, trainings, and daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc. communication and associate meetings regarding any warehouse and inventory issues in department or area ensuring documentation of attendance and meetings notes are recorded and in personnel files as requested by manager.
  • Communicate with manager, associates, etc. all unresolved issues and with other department leads involved in unresolved issues that they are being resolved in a timely manner, refer to warehouse manager for assistance when needed.
  • Assist employees with training and resolving warehouse and inventory SOP’s, expectations, guidelines, etc. with their team. Verifying that all warehouse associates can complete the essential functions of their roles related all areas of the warehouse safely and efficiently in a professional manner.
  • Assist other area lead(s) with scheduling and monitoring productivity ensuring staffing needs are being met.
  • Assist warehouse manager and ER team with staffing needs including but not limited to temporary employment, hiring, selecting, terminating and employ appropriately.
  • Calculate inventory accuracy on weekly and monthly basis and forward to any other lead(s) and assigned manager(s).
  • Support staff in all areas of the warehouse to include but not limited to assisting with wherever staff needs additional support.
  • Load and unload trailers in a timely manner in accordance with the Labor Management System as needed.
  • Verify all in and outbound loads are the correct size/quantity/product.
  • Follow structured shipping & receiving process including but not limited to loading LTL orders according with delivery.
  • Receive and put away products in an accurate and efficient manner while staying within compliance of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Dispose of waste materials and by-products.
  • Manual case picking, labeling, and cleaning as needs determine.
  • Communicate potential problems or issues with area leads and manager(s).
  • Follow all safety policies & procedures.
  • Assists with maintaining clean, organized warehouse and work environment.
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation compliance is upheld at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; required
  • Associate degree (Logistics, Business Management, or relatable field); preferred

Experience:

  • 5+ years within Warehouse industry or relatable field; required
  • 2+ years of warehouse leadership experience; required
  • 1+ year of forklift experience; required

Computer Skills:

  • Microsoft Office Suite; required
  • Warehouse Management System experience; a plus
  • AS400 experience; a plus

Essential Skills:

  • Strong emphasis on Safety, OSHA, GMPs, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people internally and externally.
  • Exceptional organizational and record keeping skills.
  • Strong attention to details, record keeping, organization, and follow up.
  • Department and team orientated mindset.
