Coordinates all personnel-related matters concerning the Agency’s employees. Individual must maintain confidentiality of all subject matter as appropriate. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Initiates Workers Compensation claims, schedules employee treatment, clears any noted restrictions with employee’s supervisor, identifies acceptable alternate work locations, if necessary, addresses timecard for accuracy, follows through until resolution of claim 

  • Populates and maintains required OSHA reporting for Agency compliance 

  • Submits various garnishments to Payroll company to be applied to employee wages 

  • Executes employee transfers including payroll adjustments, confirmation letter, initiation/termination of benefits, generates and collects appropriate training materials. 

  • Verifies education as needed in conjunction with transfers of employment to ensure candidate holds the required degree 

  • Distributes and collects monthly and annual Performance Reviews 

  • Completes employee termination process including conducting exit interview, confirmation letter, termination of benefits, PTO payout 

  • Assists in compilation and analysis of terminated employee data to identify trends and areas of concern or opportunity to decrease turnover 

  • Process employee salary changes and labor allocation changes 

  • Collects Veteran DD214 Forms and reviews timecards for proper usage 

  • Collects bereavement and jury duty forms and reviews timecards for proper usage 

  • Collects and distributes bi-weekly Workflow document to Human Resources department 

  • Reviews monthly hours report to ensure employees are maintaining required hours and generates No Contact letters when applicable 

  • Provides follow-up on all outstanding documentation for various Human Resources files to be maintained in database and conducts routine audits of database to ensure accuracy 

  • Provides training to employees and/or management as needed on duties covered in position responsibilities 

  • Conducts audits, at least quarterly, to ensure department compliance and consistency 

  • Creates and runs reports as needed to enhance Agency operations 

  • Assists in maintaining Agency HR policies 

  • Payroll database maintenance 

  • Assists employees with various HR related requests 

  • Assists Director of HR and Vice President of HR as needed

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration with at least 3 years of experience in Human Resources. Candidate must also possess mathematical aptitude and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
