The Performance Improvement Specialist conducts assigned tasks associated with agency Performance Improvement and Risk Management functions.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Provides analysis and designated reports including trend analysis for quality assurance and risk management purposes; maintains up to date databases assigned 

  • Participates with assigned agency inspections and COA site visits; assist with development of corrective action plans as indicated.  Coordinates inspections with managers as assigned. 

  • Conducts and participates in agency approved investigations, focused reviews and training procedures in preparation and investigatory functions: monitors agency security systems including video surveillance, incident management systems, and safety data assigned to assess areas of risk and follow up corrective actions or plans with departments.   

  • Serves as a resource/liaison to designated program staff in addressing outliers. 

  • Acts as System Administrator as assigned for assigned agency electronic systems/databases 

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel with ability to extract data & accurately maintain datasets including agency incident management & safety management data systems and the electronic health record. 

  • Ability to use SurveyMonkey system to create surveys and provide trend/outcome analysis reports for approved tools including satisfaction surveys and community surveys.   

  • Tracks required data, analyzes and reports on approved performance indicators.  

  • Participates as member of assigned committees and teams; acts as committee secretary as assigned to maintain meeting minutes, agendas, sign in sheets 

  • Provides support to orientation and training procedures 

  • Assist with obtaining data and information as required for agency improvement activities including marketing, contract reports, development, etc.

Education & Experience: 

Associates degree with 4 plus years’ experience in data analysis in behavioral health field.  Bachelor’s degree preferred with 2 plus years’ experience in data analysis/quality assurance in behavioral health setting.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, electronic health records, systems, online learning system and other required system venders as assigned.  Training/Certifications in crisis intervention/prevention and Nurtured Heart Approach; Instructor certification in Agency approved crisis intervention curriculum including Safe Crisis Management, Ukeru, Nurtured Heart Approach preferred/required within 6 months.
