The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic offers a variety of services to post 9/11 Veterans, Active-Duty Service Members, Reservists, National Guard and their family members. Therapist will provide evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples and families. The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic has a commitment to training, consultation and proficiency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure. The Clinician will provide evidence-based treatment to veterans, particularly those who served in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and their families. The Clinician will have training Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and should be skilled at offering treatment in a measurement-based, time-limited treatment environment. Clinician must have background and training in utilizing evidence-based interventions in the assessment and treatment of mood disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and adjustment disorders. Qualified candidates will be proficient in providing individual, couples, and family therapy, with an emphasis on delivering evidence-based care. Certification or documented proficiency in one or more in one or more of the following EBPs: PE, CBT and CPT is required at time of hire or within a year of employment.
This position will serve as Regional Director for Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinics. The primary responsibility will be lead administrator for all Cohen clinics at Veterans Village of San Diego. The Regional Director will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will serve as the primary conduit of the Cohen Veterans Network/Veterans Village of San Diego mission, policies, and communications to the clinic. The Regional Director will be a full-time employee.
Compensation:
The annual base pay for this position is $158,000 to $168,000 annually.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all clinical operations (e.g. clinical care, staffing, training, measurement and evaluation, productivity and continuous quality improvement efforts)
- Provide overall administrative supervision for the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinics, (e.g. budgetary oversight, licensure requirements, cross-clinic integration, Clinic Directors management, outreach and communications)
- Develop and execute an effective outreach strategy for the entire state
- Administer and oversee all grants related to clinics, including CalVet
- Network and collaborate with VA, VSOs, and other NGO’s serving veterans
- Develop partnerships with all applicable stakeholders
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with collaborative partners locally, statewide and nationally including diverse interest groups, advocacy groups and other governmental organizations.
- Ensure the adoption and sustainment of evidence-based practices, measurement-based care, collaborative documentation and other identified best clinical practices
- Ensure the clinic and its staff actively communicate with the Cohen Veterans Network Central Office, participate in CVN meetings/events/activities, and contribute to the overall network. Through leadership, develop and foster a culture of collaboration, peer consultation, and commitment to ongoing education and professional improvement.
- On a continuous basis, interpret and evaluate staff reports; know laws, regulations and codes; observe performance and evaluate staff; problem solve clinic related issues; remember various rules; and explain and interpret policy.
