Job Summary: Assist the Account Executive, Broker and Producer with marketing and servicing of new and renewal business. Coordinate with production team, accounting and insurance carriers to facilitate a successful client renewal.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Initiate renewal strategy meeting with A/E for both internally and client meetings
  • Prepare draft renewal strategy document & engage team as needed
  • Identify renewal exposure needs and request from Client
  • Gather and format renewal exposure & , follow up on missing items and question exposures as needed
  • Create Draft Submission
  • Prepare for renewal outputs:
    • Request loss runs
    • Prepare loss summary
    • Request property replacement cost evaluations as needed
    • Request Modeling
    • Review certificate holder list and provide to client for review and feedback
    • Confirm manuscript certificates as needed
    • Understand Auto ID Cards distribution for clients
    • Determine Work Comp Posting needs and how to distribute
  • Assist broker reviewing quotes as needed
  • Send quotes to client and obtain bind order as needed
  • Determine if Premium Financing is needed and obtain quotes
  • Create & Organize Policy file in shared drive
  • Post renewal send binders to client, collect subjectivities, input renewal into EPIC utilizing all CAC processes and procedures
  • Create invoices and memo bills (when needed) send to client
  • Track incoming and carrier payments
  • Issue and distribute renewal outputs (ie: certificates, auto ID cards, scrubbed binder/policy as needed)
  • Complete Schedules of Insurance and/or Summaries of Insurance
  • Complete Mudmaps / Schematics
  • Create a Formal Proposal draft if multiple lines and different brokers are involved
  • Create Cost of Risk, include historical data up to 5 years
  • Follow up with carriers for policies
  • Follow up with brokers that policies have been checked
  • Send checked policies to Client, place copies in EPIC
  • Follow up with carrier if any endorsements are needed
  • Maintain shared drive of key documents (i.e policies, endorsements, invoices, Autos ID Cards, Certificates, Audits etc.)
  • Monitor expiration dates of all policies, including fees
  • Maintain open items list by client and review with A/E monthly if not having regular calls/meetings with the client
  • Suspend for Audits and review against binders/agreements and maintain history of exposures
  • Handle ad hoc requests for certificates, auto id cards, endorsements
  • New clients
    • Create Draft BOR
    • Set up in EPIC
    • Set up in Certificate System
    • Work with Brokers to obtain copies of policies from carriers
    • Request and review prior brokers Schedule of Insurance, create from CAC, including Mudmap
    • Request and review Certificate copies and an Excel schedule, update as needed and import into CAC system
    • Request and review Auto ID Cards
  • Develop and maintain account handling instructions / best practices for each client
  • Plan out the next year for renewals
  • Follow up with client for payment
  • Market one off non-complicated policies
  • Monitor and resolve accounting issues
  • Train A/M’s to develop SR A/M level – on processes and systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of commercial insurance required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail & time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • eCerts & EPIC experience preferred
