Our Christmas Camp volunteer spots are close to filled, with some applications in process. Please contact K.C. Morris, Ranch Co-director, at kc.morris@adventureunlimited.org before applying to check whether additional volunteers are still needed for the areas you are interested in supporting.
Christmas Camp volunteers arrive on December 17 before dinner and help us to prepare for the program over the next few days. Together, we’ll shovel snow, prepare sled runs and the ice skating rink, make beds, prepare for program activities, and transform the lodge into a mountain Christmas getaway. Volunteers enjoy time off to ski, relax, or enjoy winter in the mountains on December 20, and then Christmas Camp guests arrive on December 21. During program days, volunteers serve in a variety of ways - leading program activities like cross country skiing and snowshoeing, inspiring creativity during arts and crafts, shepherding the little ones during Kids’ Camp, clearing dishes, and keeping the lodge tidy and welcoming, among other tasks.
Each volunteer serves for half of the program time and gets to participate as a guest (on us!) the other half, with everyone supporting dinners and evening programs. After guests depart on December 27, volunteers help close down camp and leave later that day or on December 28.
