A&P Mechanics are responsible for preventative maintenance and alterations of aircraft with the ability to adhere to specifications and Safety Standards. The A&P Mechanic will inspect aircraft engines, landing gear, instruments, pressurized sections, accessories, brakes, valves, pumps, and air-conditioning systems. A&P Mechanics will maintain records related to maintenance performed on the aircraft along with the signing of mechanical flight releases. Mechanics may also repair sheet metal or composite surfaces and will rely on the pilots’ description of a problem to discover and restore faulty equipment. As a certified AMT, you have a valuable role to ensure the safety of our fellow team members and Guests as well as the airworthiness of fleet assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform all assigned maintenance duties related to; routine inspections, troubleshooting, airframe structures, engines, aircraft systems etc.
• Perform all airframe, power plant repairs and modifications required to meet Company, Client, and FAA requirements
• Read and understand blue prints and aircraft wiring diagrams with proper interpretation and incorporation
• Removal and disassembly of defective parts; assembly and installation of replacement parts; and testing aircraft system
• Ensure all documentation is kept current with open discrepancies and completed corrective actions with accuracy
• Operate all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignment while maintaining a clean and operative working environment at all times
• Accurately and timely record and submit work orders
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Tows and parks aircraft
• Performs other aircraft maintenance work as may be required
• Accomplish performance measures that cohere with CAS values of safety, integrity, respect, and trust
