Tucson Subaru, a leading dealership in the region, is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Trade Up Specialist to join our team. In this position, your focus will be mining clients from the service department and proactively purchasing vehicles from service clients. You will work closely with our sales and service teams, using cutting-edge data mining tools to help customers understand their equity positions and explore vehicle upgrade opportunities. Trade Up Specialist Job Responsibilities

  • Proactively reach out to existing and new customers through email, phone, and direct mail to notify them of their current equity situation and potential trade-in options.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with customers by offering personalized services and keeping them informed about their vehicle equity and trade-up opportunities.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty through follow-up communication and by managing their vehicle equity needs.
  • Focus on mining customer data from the service department and proactively identifying clients who may be able to trade in their vehicles.
  • Engage with service clients and pursue opportunities to purchase vehicles from them.
  • Use Subaru’s Equity Connect and Trade Up Advantage tools to generate custom lists of customers with positive or healthy negative equity.
  • Reach out to customers via phone, email, and direct mail to communicate equity positions and provide them with trade-in estimates and payment options.
  • Schedule appointments for customers to visit the dealership and discuss their options.
  • Drive incremental sales by identifying prospective customers in the service lane and engaging them in meaningful conversations about upgrading their vehicles.
  • Track all customer interactions using CRM systems to ensure follow-up and manage sales opportunities effectively.
  • Support marketing campaigns to reach customers in equity positions through targeted emails, phone calls, and mailers.
  • Be outgoing and engaging when speaking to customers, creating an inviting atmosphere that encourages conversation and trust.
  • Focus on building strong relationships with service clients, helping them understand their options for vehicle upgrades or trade-ins.
  • Collaborate with both the sales and fixed operations teams to enhance the customer experience and achieve sales goals.
  • Work with service advisors and cashiers to distribute equity information to customers and ensure smooth coordination between departments.
  • Spend a mandatory 2+ hours per day in the service drive and customer lounge, assisting guests and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Provide a positive, welcoming atmosphere for customers in the service lounge, offering refreshments and information about their vehicle options.

Qualifications

Trade Up Specialist Qualifications

  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to meet and exceed goals.
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to engage customers and drive conversations.
  • Previous automotive sales or customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Knowledge of data mining tools and CRM systems is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Corporate Hiring Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen – THC not included in the screening.
