Ford of Kirkland, the top-performing Ford dealer on the West Coast, is hiring a Service Cashier to join our team! This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who wants a long-term career in the automotive industry. Working as our Service Cashier, you would be taking cash/card/credit for purchases and transactions while providing impeccable customer service. The ideal candidate would have prior customer service experience with great attendance.
Service Cashier Responsibilities
- Answering phones.
- Accepting payments for service work performed.
- Processes warranty claims on a timely basis for each franchise or distributor.
- Processes all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation.
- Verifies criteria required by factory or distributor.
- Reconciles all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule.
- Posts credits on the computer.
- Resubmit all rejected claims promptly or receive authorization to write them off.
- Follow-up on payment of outstanding claims.
- Tracks warranty parts by tagging them with the repair order number, date of replacement, and date on which part may be disposed of.
- Arranges for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor or to be scrapped.
- Files and maintains all service records as required by the warrantor.
