Primary Objective

Under direction of Director of Marketing and Physician Recruitment perform a variety of functions to facilitate the retention of physician, referring hospital and community relationships by promoting and maintaining image of being a community-centered, patient-first, leading-edge provider while increasing referral percentages/volume and expand services utilized by performing duties within the scope of the policy and procedures defined by CEENTA.

Essential Functions

  • Completes face-to-face meetings with physicians, schedulers, referral coordinators, practice managers, and medical staff from referring practices/hospitals to ensuring that obstacles are identified and minimized.
  • Develops relationships with referral sources to ensure that they are aware of our providers and services.
  • Establishes and maintains ongoing communications with referring providers and/or their office staff, including routine or follow-up visits, emails, and phone calls.
  • Resolves or refers physician calls where appropriate, taking initiative to make decisions within authorized scope of responsibility, or direct decision-making to the proper authority.
  • Actively demonstrates commitment to providing excellent customer service while encouraging and maintaining confidentiality in all interaction with physicians/providers.
  • Identifies tactics to promote provider interaction and engagement including new provider orientation, site visits, staff meetings, social events, grand rounds, referral dinners, CMEs and other communication methods.
  • Develops and implements specific outreach and relationship building tactics including the implementation of new products/services/ protocols to meet department goals.
  • Develops business relationships with local community organizations and businesses to increase CEENTA service lines and programs.
  • Communicates opportunities, market trends, and issues to appropriate management/staff in a timely manner.
  • Assists in sourcing and working community health fairs to build stronger awareness of CEENTA’s services, product lines, and physicians.
  • Chaperones and tours physician candidates at regional office locations. 
  • Plans and executes monthly continued education events and 2 large annual events, including applying for credits and securing presenters.
  • Works closely with referral department to resolve issues and ensure proper workflow is used between referring practices and CEENTA.
  • Facilitating sign up for myCEENTAlink, including reviewing/submitting paperwork, coordinating with EPIC team and training referring practice staff when needed. 
  • Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the position.

Training Period

Training period ranges between one and two weeks.

Qualifications

Education

Associate’s degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred  Public Relations, Marketing or Communication major preferred. 

Experience

Three to five years experience in health care, preferably in marketing or business development.

Work Environment

The work environment alternates between working from the office and marketing to referral practices in the field.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Individual contributor. Reports directly to Director of Marketing and Physician Recruitment.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

Non-exempt, M-F 8:30 am 4:30 pm

Three field days, two office days.

A Typical Day in the Position

In Office Days:

 

  • Plan field day visits.
  • Review referral data reports.
  • Input field visits into MDRP (referral development software program).
  • Update MDRP and submit to address change any new providers/location changes.
  • Make calls to referring practice to set up meet and greets or lunches.
  • Make calls to senior centers or communities to set up provider talks.
  • Issue resolution for referring practices.
  • Follow up on referral statuses.
  • Complete BaseCamp (project management software program) to-dos.
  • Complete any follow-up requests from field visits.
  • Weekly meeting with Marketing Director.
  • Submit activity for CE events.

 

Field Days:

 

  • Complete face-to- face meetings with referrals coordinators, office managers, or providers.
  • Distribute marketing materials for new physicians, offices, or services.
  • Attend marketing lunches with providers.
  • Cultivate new relationships with community centers & activity living communities.
  • Onboard new physicians.
  • Manage monthly CE events.
