Job Responsibilities:

 

System and Network Administration

  • Supports server, network and desktop hardware, software and applications and telephone systems for the Company. Installs hardware, loads programs and prepares systems for users. Implements timely hardware and software upgrades, patches, enhancements and conversions to ensure optimal deployment of resources. Conducts routine maintenance as required.
  • Pairs with technology team members to proactively monitor and address any support issues as needed.
  • Serves as a lead with vendor support service groups and provides internal analysis and support to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
  • Sets up, configures and supports internal and/or external networks. Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security and network configurations.
  • Implements and tests backup procedures and conducts regular recovery tests.
  • Ensures the security of corporate data stored on servers and information resources across multiple platforms and diverse system environments. Identifies and resolves potential security risks.
  • Evaluates and authorizes user access to data. Creates user IDs, modifies/creates user rights, changes passwords and modifies security elements with each system.
  • Configures a variety of cell phones and web devices and provides technical assistance and guidance for users.
  • Provides on-going technology innovation and research.

 

Disaster Recovery & Compliance

  • Involved in the updating and testing of the Information Technology disaster recovery plan and security policies.
  • Ensures the effectiveness of appropriate infrastructure to support disaster recovery plans and policies.
  • Schedules and conducts regular disaster recovery tests.
  • Develops appropriate technical compliance policies and ensures implementation.

System and Infrastructure Planning

  • Plans, implements and supports the network and computing infrastructure plan. Provides technical expertise to business management regarding risk assessments and implementation of data security products and procedures.
  • Assists with technology planning through on-going research.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CS or equivalent work experience plus 6-8 years of experience in technology roles using varied multi-faceted hardware, software and networking environments. 3-5 years of administration experience. Next Generation firewalls experience. Microsoft Windows Servers, Linux Server, Cisco Networking, Citrix XenApp, Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, VMWare, Hyper-V, Exchange and Microsoft 365 administration experience. Knowledge would be helpful in SAN management, VOIP and networking protocols and setting up a wide range of network technologies;

Essential Functions:

 

This associate must be able to understand complex technical information and apply that knowledge to troubleshoot hardware and software problems. They must be able to think logically and communicate verbally in a clear and concise manner. This associate has to be able to build relationships with vendors and negotiate detailed contracts as well as work with a wide variety of

personalities and skill sets.

The associate’s work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards; and repetitive motion with substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures.

 

The associate may travel up to 5% of the time by air or car to other office or business locations.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is exposed to normal office working conditions that are climate-controlled. The associate would not be exposed to extreme heat cold or other workplace hazards. The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
