Position Summary

We are seeking a rainmaker, a dynamic team player, who is experienced in Business Development.  The ideal candidate has a strong background in solutions and SaaS sales and has a proven track record in selling to retail operations.  The candidate will have a deep understanding of ROI creation for senior retail executives procuring technology to position and improve their KPIs.  The candidate knows the complex RFID ecosystem and uses his/her network for successful and profitable implementation.   This role will focus on approaching retail leaders, touching all parts of the inventory chain, from source to the point of sale and exit, to add value to their business through technology implementation centered around RFID.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead Sales Initiatives: Drive the sales of solutions, professional services and SaaS to the retail industry and others where appropriate
  • Understand Retail Value Chain: Provide domain expertise to shape solutions, create proposals, and articulate value and ROI to customers.
  • Market Analysis & Business Planning: Provide market insight internally, lead business planning in collaboration with the RFID team, and execute strategic sales activities.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects.
  • Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, demos, and proposals to showcase the benefits of our selling proposition. 
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work seamlessly with operations, professional services, customer success, and product management teams to ensure coordinated sales efforts.
  • Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Stay updated on the latest IoT technologies and products to effectively communicate their value to clients.
  • Engage in Market Activities: Participate in trade shows, conferences, and client workshops to drive awareness and generate leads
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Meet or exceed sales targets and quotas set by the company.

Qualifications

Experience/Qualifications/Requirements

  • Experience: At least 5+ years in selling large-scale technology solutions within the retail industry.  Additional vertical is a plus. 
  • Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the retail industry, from supply chain to in-store operations. Experience in RFID/ IoT solutions a plus. 
  • SaaS Sales: Demonstrated experience in selling SaaS solutions and hardware components, particularly IoT cloud solutions.
  • Skills: Interpersonal relationship skills, and intrapreneurial mindset. 
  • Education: A four-year bachelor’s degree is required
