Datascan is a Private Equity owned company that provides mobile computers, software applications, communications equipment, and related printed materials to its retailer clients as part of a Solution-as-a Service Self Scan inventory model.  Recently celebrating its 50-year anniversary Datascan's client base is diverse in both retail segmentation and international location, and the company has extended operations into Europe and Asia with offices in the UK and China.

Job Summary: This position is in our fast-paced order preparation and fulfillment warehouse. The duties performed in this role include, but are not limited to, receiving, packaging, loading, and shipping functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to perform the breakdown of inbound material, sorting equipment
  • Loading and unloading trucks with the ability to lift heavy boxes repeatedly
  • Preventive maintenance of our equipment as well as quality control
  • Capacity to organize client specific software, and transfer onto equipment (ex. Tablets, scanners)
  • Packaging of items for client specific shipments while meeting deadlines
  • Processing daily orders and replacement requests

 

Skills and abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Must exhibit positive technical aptitude and excellent work ethic
  • Must display attention to detail
  • Basic computer knowledge (ex outlook, excel)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Navision or similar ERP software is a PLUS!

 

Working Conditions:

  • Climate controlled warehouse
  • Need to adapt and switch tasks quickly
  • Overtime and weekend work is likely
  • While performing the duties of this position, will be required to stand, walk, use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around the warehouse
  • Positions available on both First shift (7am-4pm) and Second shift (11am-8pm)

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience in Manufacturing, packaging or operations preferred
