POSITION SUMMARY
The Floor Captain will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of catering services at various events, including weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings. They will be responsible for leading a team of off-site event staff, under the supervision of an Event Manager, to successfully execute food, beverage, and equipment orders ensuring client and guest satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Assist with the operations of an off-site event including equipment delivery, event set-up (including the arrangement of tables, chairs, linens, and décor), food service, and clean-up
- Manage a service team including servers, bartenders, and coat check
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure that their expectations are met
- Collaborate with the catering sales team to plan and execute successful events
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced event environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Attend and participate in company meetings and training sessions to stay informed of company policies, procedures, and initiatives
- Stay current on trends and incorporate new techniques and methods into daily operations
- Ensure that all events comply with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Performs other duties associated with the position that are reasonably assigned to support the overall needs of the business
