Description

Essential Tasks:

  1. Remove all linen and terry from guest room checkouts.
  2. Replace linen and terry as needed or assigned on stay over rooms.
  3. Vacuum carpets daily.
  4. Clean bathrooms thoroughly, including sweeping, mopping, sanitizing toilet and shower.
  5. Dust all furniture and fixtures including headboards, mirrors, picture frames, streamlines, televisions, tables, etc.
  6. Have complete understanding of the proper layout of the furniture and amenities in each room type. Ensure that furnishings and correct amenities are in their proper places after the room is cleaned.
  7. Be accountable for the guest’s belongings left in the room. Any found items must be turned in immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor, Inspector or Manager on Duty.
  8. Be aware of any suspicious activities or persons. Report such activity immediately to your supervisor or the General Manager.
  9. Report maintenance items to the front desk as they are observed.
  10. Turn in keys left in guest rooms to the front desk.
  11. Watch for message lights in checkout rooms and clear as needed.
  12. When working inside a guest room, pull your cart in front of the door to the room, making sure that it is not blocking the hallway. If someone tries to enter the room while you are working, ask to see their key packet with room number or direct them to the front desk if they do not have it. Report any problems to the housekeeping supervisor or General Manager.
  13. Follow all departmental rules and procedures in doing your job.
  14. Maintain assigned equipment. Report any problems with your equipment to your supervisor or maintenance immediately.
  15. Be aware of and follow all safety rules and use caution in doing the job.
  16. Vacuum hallways near and around assigned guest rooms.
  17. Ensure assigned rooms and areas are being cleaned and maintained to Wilson Hospitality and IHG standards.
  18. Other duties as assigned.
