BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:
Handle and process building permit applications, manage inspection scheduling, and oversee daily department deposits. Respond to customer inquiries regarding building permits, inspections, and code enforcement through phone, email, and in person.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
- Reports to permit supervisor.
- This is a non-supervisory position.
- Work closely with city staff and regularly engage with various government representatives, business professionals, and the public.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES may include but are not limited to, the following:
- Processes building permits and scheduling inspections.
- Be the friendly face of the Development department, responsible for managing and triaging customer inquiries.
- Assist customers via phone, email and walk-in with questions about building permits, inspections and code enforcement processes.
- Provides quality customer service to the public, city staff, contractors and all other work contacts.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
