Join the CARF team as an HR Coordinator! The HR Coordinator position supports CARF’s mission, vision, values, goals, and objectives by providing administrative support in the implementation of surveyor talent management programs that contribute to organizational effectiveness and are in compliance/conformance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws, contractual obligations, and CARF’s business practice standards, where appropriate.

Essential duties and responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities represent the essential functions of this job that an individual must be able to perform with or without a reasonable accommodation:

In collaboration with key stakeholders/subject matter experts, provide administrative support for:

  • Talent planning and employment programs designed to build and maintain a diverse workforce/talent pipeline that meets current/future organizational needs.
    • Preboarding/onboarding (e.g., creating new HRIS profiles; processing background screenings; conducting onboarding sessions, as needed; performing employment eligibility verifications; assigning/completing personnel action forms, documents, and checklists; coordinating various communications)
    • Record Management (e.g., triaging requests for information; providing technical assistance; maintaining accurate records; conducting periodic audits; processing updates/status changes; compiling information from multiple data sources; talent acquisition support, as needed)
  • HR development programs designed to enhance the individual and organizational knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to maintain a high-performance culture, e.g., assisting in the implementation of surveyor continuing education activities.
  • Employee/customer relations programs designed to optimize the employee and customer experience, representing CARF as an employer and accreditor of choice, respectively, e.g., responding timely and professionally to various internal/external inquiries, escalating when appropriate; supporting various recognition, engagement, and retention activities, as needed.
  • Compensation and benefit programs designed to attract, reward, and retain top talent, e.g., processing/maintaining confidential payroll information.
  • Risk management programs designed to promote workplace health and wellness, safety, and security and to manage organizational risk, e.g., supporting safety, accessibility, business continuity, and federal and state/provincial employment compliance programs.

In addition, as an HRET representative:

  • Adhere to ethical principles and company policies regarding the safeguarding of restricted and/or confidential information obtained as part of HRET department activities.
  • Promote an organizational culture where CARF-sponsored activities/associations foster a commitment to diversity and inclusion and embrace accessibility concepts of “universal design.”

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The market entry salary for this full-time, non-exempt position is $18.83 hourly USD, payable semi-monthly.  CARF offers a competitive compensation and premium benefits package; e.g., medical/dental/life/disability insurance, medical and childcare flexible spending accounts, 403(b) retirement savings account, defined benefit pension plan, comprehensive wellness program, employee assistance program, goal sharing and other performance award programs. 



WORK LOCATION

Based in Tucson, AZ, this position is not eligible for relocation assistance or full-time remote work. However, this position may be eligible to work remotely up to 2 days per week.

Qualifications

The following qualifications represent the training, education, certifications, licensures, and/or work experience required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities successfully:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years’ experience coordinating diverse activities.
  • Specialized training and/or working knowledge of employment practices and law preferred.
  • Demonstrated skill in establishing/maintaining professional and collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully maintain the highest level of confidentiality, ethics, and professional standards required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Bookings. Experience with HRIS software preferred.

Must be authorized to work in the United States. Does not now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status, including but not limited to H-1B visa status.
