Role Summary:
Under the direction of the Chief Information Officer, the AVP of Infrastructure and Operations is responsible for the overall management and leadership of Gesa’s Service Management, IT Operations, and Infrastructure Services departments. This position will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies and solutions to optimize the IT infrastructure and operations and to support the overall credit union strategies. This position will be responsible for management of direct reports, all associated personnel, and fulfilling budget responsibilities. Serve as a member of the credit union Leadership Team and contribute to achieving the target goals for the department and the credit union.
What You Will Be Doing:
Leadership and Management:
- Oversee enterprise-wide IT infrastructure, operations, and service management (networking, compute, storage, backups, cloud platforms, desktop, peripherals, telecom, helpdesk, etc.).
- Ensure systems performance, availability, service standards, internal controls, security standards, and disaster recovery plans are understood and followed.
- Manage technical and operational issue escalations.
Implementation and Standards:
- Oversee the implementation, patching, and upgrades of systems to ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Lead the planning, implementation, maintenance, and testing of a comprehensive disaster recovery/business continuity program.
Service Levels and Performance:
- Develop, document, and measure service level standards, service quality, team member satisfaction, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Manage service level agreement (SLA) performance, business-critical delivery commitments, and ensure system stability and resilience.
Collaboration and Security:
- Work closely with other departments and IT groups to identify and address infrastructure and service requirements, ensuring seamless support and integration across the organization.
- Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to maintain a strong security posture.
- Protect sensitive data with the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
Budget and Vendor Management:
- Oversee budget management and technology assets, ensuring proper licensing for all software, hardware, and services.
- Partner with vendors and suppliers regarding new products/services, changes to existing services, and support issues.
Technology Planning and Team Development:
- Lead technology planning to select and utilize appropriate technologies and solutions.
- Develop strategic initiatives aligned with credit union strategic plans.
- Build and lead a high-performing team focused on collaboration, communication, career development, and high performance.
- Mentor, coach, and train team members, providing support and tools for their growth.
Performance Review and Industry Trends:
- Conduct performance reviews, provide motivation, address insufficient performance, and define goals and objectives.
- Assess the impact of industry trends on current and future infrastructure and operational needs.
- Maintain knowledge of current and evolving technology, evaluating changes and new technology.
