Role Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Data Integrity & Business Intelligence Manager/Team Leader, a Senior Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the business intelligence and data governance needs of the Credit Union. Primary duties shall include the maintenance and validation of the Credit Union’s data governance system, development of business intelligence tools, and creation of business intelligence reporting to meet the needs of stakeholders within the Credit Union to further their ability to make quality, data driven decisions. As a member of the Risk and Performance Team, a Senior Data Analyst will be an integral part of the ongoing strategic planning and monitoring process for the Credit Union.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Act as a team lead within the Risk and Performance Department. Represent Risk and Performance in projects and committees as assigned.
  2. Lead the development, maintenance, and support of accurate analytical models, Business Intelligence/reporting systems, and data warehouse solutions to meet the business intelligence needs of the Credit Union and its stakeholders.
  3. Work with internal stakeholders to identify new reporting, dash boarding, and analytical opportunities in furtherance of the Credit Union’s business and strategic goals. Lead the implementation of identified opportunities and work with stakeholders to drive adoption.
  4. Support the ongoing validation and maintenance of the Credit Union’s data sources in support of the Credit Union’s data governance framework.
  5. Design, develop, and maintain the Credit Union’s Data Warehouse and other databases in furtherance of the business intelligence goals of the Credit Union.
  6. Assist with various data validation, balancing, and business intelligence projects.
  7. Develop and maintain business intelligence systems and capabilities that support the needs of a diverse group of Credit Union stakeholders. Lead the training of stakeholders throughout the organization on the Credit Union’s business intelligence systems.
  8. Monitor indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements. Provide suggestions for improved performance and adherence when appropriate.
  9. Lead evaluations of the Credit Union’s quality control systems and report findings along with recommendations for improvements as needed.
  10. Lead the training of new team members within the Credit Union’s Business Intelligence team with a focus on the tools and methods utilized by the team to accomplish their essential job functions.
  11. Develop and maintain an expert level of knowledge regarding the Credit Union’s core operating systems, data warehouse solutions, and business intelligence systems and software solutions.
  12. Identify and troubleshoot data-related problems and make maintenance or modification suggestions.
  13. Assist with the Credit Union’s annual budgeting and forecasting processes along with other major Risk & Performance Team initiatives as assigned.
  14. Must understand and perform Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions as applicable to job responsibilities.
  15. Attend Credit Union training sessions, conferences, or seminars as approved by Management. Maintain awareness of policies and regulations related to duties and responsibilities.
  16. Maintain and protect all sensitive data utilizing the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism. Consistently display respect for all areas of diversity and levels of knowledge.
  17. Display mutual respect, trust and dignity. Act in the best interest of the Credit Union; lead by example by displaying solid ethics and integrity at all times. Control risk and manage duties and tasks in a safe and sound manner.
  18. Maintain a general knowledge of all Credit Union products and services, as well as the activities of departments.

 

About You:

  1. Ability to maintain thorough knowledge of Credit Union business lines, processes, and products.
  2. Strong analytical, quantitative, and modeling skills.
  3. Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to changes in business models and new technologies.
  4. Strong knowledge of relational databases, data mining techniques, and business intelligence tools.
  5. Ability to write complex queries using tools such as SQL for reporting, analytics, and business intelligence.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and listening skills.
  7. Demonstrate commitment to continual process improvement.
  8. Ability to work jointly and successfully in a team environment.
  9. Able to successfully and professionally communicate both orally and in writing.
  10. Able to prioritize tasks and projects with varying deadlines and priorities.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  1. Four-year degree in Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Data Analysis, Statistics; or equivalent training, coursework, and experience.
  2. A minimum of eight years of similar or related experience; financial institution environment experience preferred.
  3. High level of proficiency with business intelligence tools and large-scale data management.
  4. Ability to interpret, validate, and balance large amounts of financial data with relative ease.
  5. Proficient with standard office equipment, word processing and reporting.

Salary Range:

$97,915.62 - $146,873.43
