Role Summary:

Provide reception and clerical services to the members and Physical Security staff. Perform specific duties that contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of the department, while ensuring that a professional, friendly image and approach are consistently exercised and practiced. Receive and deliver mail and assist with other credit union projects as assigned by supervisor.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Project a professional, courteous, friendly image while providing prompt, efficient and accurate service at all times.
  2. Greet members and answer routine questions posed by members. Direct member inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
  3. Receive and deliver mail and interdepartmental items received at the front desk to the mailroom.
  4. Answer incoming telephone calls, determine caller’s needs and/or subject of interest and transfer the caller to the appropriate personnel if necessary. Utilize communication devices as necessary.
  5. Responsible for maintaining the reception area in a neat and orderly fashion at all times.
  6. Responsible for unlocking the main doors at start of business and locking the main doors at end of business each day the branch/MSC is open, as so directed.
  7. Responsible for signing out and returning Access Badges for Vendors, Visitors, and staff. Maintaining the access badge logs and performing weekly audits on access badge logs.
  8.   Control security risks by maintaining a presence at the front desk and notifying security staff of any suspicious activity/individuals.
  9. Maintain and protect all sensitive data utilizing the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism.
  10. Attend credit union training sessions, conferences, or seminars as approved by supervisor.  Maintain awareness of policies and regulations related to duties and responsibilities.
  11. Perform a variety of general clerical tasks at or near the reception center and other related duties as assigned by the Security Manager.
  12. Must understand and perform Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions as applicable to job responsibilities.
  13. Demonstrate support of corporate values, mission, and vision.
  14. Understand, support and display Internal Service Standards.
  15. Display leadership values such as mutual respect, honest, trust and dignity, and act in the best interest of the credit union. Lead by example by displaying solid ethics and integrity at all times.
  16. Consistently display respect for all areas of diversity and levels of knowledge.

 

About You:

  1. To provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members and staff.
  2. Ability to maintain knowledge and general understanding of all credit union products and services.
  3. Ability to participate in and support a team environment.
  4. To effectively communicate ideas and information, both orally and in writing.
  5. To identify areas for possible process improvement and make suggestions along with achievable solutions to supervisor.
  6. Possess and display excellent customer service attributes.

Qualifications

What you Will Need:

  1. High school education or equivalent training and education, such as G.E.D.
  2. One to twelve months of similar experience, specializing in customer service.
  3. Ability to maintain a positive and professional image through effective verbal and written communication.
  4. Experience with standard office equipment, MS Office programs and Outlook software.
  5. Demonstrate and sustain interpersonal skills to relate effectively and professionally to members, the public, and colleagues.

Salary Range:

$16.28-$22.60
