Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year of prior coaching experience is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
- Must have a valid US driver's license.
- Knowledge of effective coaching techniques and best practices.
- Ability to work in a diverse work environment and build and maintain relationships with college administrators, parents, students and alumni.
- Organize and manage all facets of the program including recruiting, scouting, individual instruction, budget planning, monitoring academic progress and success of student-athletes.
- Lead and work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with student-athletes, coaches as well as athletic and college administration.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Frequent travel is required.
- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the Division III philosophy of athletics and adherence to NCAA regulations regarding operation of athletic programs.
- Strong planning and organizational skills. Capacity to market the department to the various constituencies of the College and surrounding community.
