OVERVIEW AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The PMO Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects within the organization. This role involves managing project management processes, policies, and standards to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. The PMO Manager will also manage the project portfolio, track progress, and manage risks and issues. Additionally, the PMO Manager will be responsible for establishing and leading the Project Management Office (PMO) from the ground up.

  • Design, implement, and maintain project management methodologies and processes
  • Provide guidance and support for all project management activities within the organization
  • Establish and maintain a project portfolio management process to select, prioritize, and manage the execution of projects
  • Monitor project progress and performance to ensure alignment with defined objectives
  • Interact with project stakeholders and manage stakeholder communication
  • Implement and manage project change and interventions to achieve project outputs
  • Oversee project risk management and develop strategies to manage and mitigate risks
  • Ensure the maintenance of all project documentation and records for auditing purposes
  • Provide project management training and mentoring to project managers and team members
  • Manage the PMO’s budget and resources
  • Conduct project reviews to assess outcomes of projects, identify lessons learned, and make recommendations for future projects
  • Allocate resources effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure project success
  • Implement projects within the PMO to ensure successful execution and delivery
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

KEY TECHNOLOGIES AND SKILLS

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8 years of experience managing multiple concurrent projects
  • 6 years of experience managing implementation and operations of Medicaid or Major Health Care Payer projects
  • 4 years of experience with implementation and operations of technology deployments, including integration efforts
  • PMP certification
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
