OVERVIEW AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The PMO Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects within the organization. This role involves managing project management processes, policies, and standards to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. The PMO Manager will also manage the project portfolio, track progress, and manage risks and issues. Additionally, the PMO Manager will be responsible for establishing and leading the Project Management Office (PMO) from the ground up.
- Design, implement, and maintain project management methodologies and processes
- Provide guidance and support for all project management activities within the organization
- Establish and maintain a project portfolio management process to select, prioritize, and manage the execution of projects
- Monitor project progress and performance to ensure alignment with defined objectives
- Interact with project stakeholders and manage stakeholder communication
- Implement and manage project change and interventions to achieve project outputs
- Oversee project risk management and develop strategies to manage and mitigate risks
- Ensure the maintenance of all project documentation and records for auditing purposes
- Provide project management training and mentoring to project managers and team members
- Manage the PMO’s budget and resources
- Conduct project reviews to assess outcomes of projects, identify lessons learned, and make recommendations for future projects
- Allocate resources effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure project success
- Implement projects within the PMO to ensure successful execution and delivery
