Description

RISE Early Intervention is a growing organization that provides support to families of children birth to three years of age with disabilities or special developmental needs, helping them to build on their child's strengths, and to enhance and promote the child's growth, development and learning skills in their natural environment. AzEIP provides support to families of children birth to three years of age with disabilities or special developmental needs by assisting with learning developmental skills such as motor and language, facilitate engagement in activities, routines and events of everyday life.

We are currently in a search to hire an Director for our Early Intervention Program. The Early Intervention Program continues to grow! The Core Team is composed of the following disciplines: Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, and Developmental Special Instructionists. The Arizona Early Intervention Program provide support to families of children birth to three years of age with disabilities or special developmental needs, assisting them on learning developmental skills such as gross motor, fine motor, language, and facilitate engagement in activities, routines and events of everyday life.

The Director position is responsible for the supervision and management of Early Intervention Program Requirements. Provides guidance and coaching to staff to assist in achieving competency in the performance of their job requirements. Assures contractual compliance as outlined by the Arizona Early Intervention Program (AzEIP) and may carry a small caseload. This position does require local travel in the areas where Early Intervention services are provided and attend meetings and/or training sessions.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement, or Family Studies, Masters Degree preferred
  • Minimum one year experience in supervision, coaching, management, training, and development of staff
  • Minimum one year with the field and practice of early intervention services, and/or developmental delays/disabilities in young children.
  • Knowledge of early child development and intervention techniques, including evaluation and assessment tools.
  • Demonstrative communication skills both professional written and verbal specific to job task required and communicate effectively in individual or group situations including demonstrating listening skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and to communicate with multiple customers including the families receiving support, service professionals, natural parents, state personnel and others.
  • Ability to interpret and implement RISE EI policies/procedures regarding services provided by Arizona DES/DDD/AzEIP related to employees.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, local travel to attend home visits, meetings and/or training sessions.
  • Meets AzEIP Standards of Practice (preferred)
  • Must be able to complete a successful background check and obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
