This full-time year-round position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive strength and conditioning program that supports our student-athletes across all sports while also increasing weight room accessibility for the entire student body.

The future vision of this position includes continuing to build enthusiasm for strength and conditioning from the existing strong foundation while using our sophisticated state-of-the-art facilities and available technology to meet students where they are in their athletic journey. In addition, this role will work further with coaches to provide athletes with dynamic and individualized programming that utilizes data to educate themselves on opportunities to increase their performance.

The ideal candidate will be an innovative coach who fosters a culture of athletic development and injury prevention and ensures that all students—not just athletic teams—have access to strength and conditioning resources.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and expand the strength and conditioning program for all sports teams, aligning with data-based best practices for performance enhancement and injury prevention
  • Increase accessibility of the weight room to all students, fostering a welcoming, encouraging and inclusive environment
  • Design and implement sport-specific training programs that align with each team’s competitive goals and student-athlete development needs
  • Collaborate with coaches to integrate strength and conditioning into overall athletic performance plans
  • Engage with students beyond athletics, creating structured opportunities for non-athletes to benefit from fitness training
  • Maintain and optimize the use of our state-of-the-art weight training facility, ensuring proper supervision, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols
  • Provide mentorship and education on nutrition, recovery, and strength training principles to student-athletes
  • Support school-wide initiatives, including fitness testing, wellness programs, and community engagement efforts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field
  • Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or USA Weightlifting (USAW) Level 1 certification required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in strength and conditioning at the high school, collegiate, or professional level
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to engage and motivate student-athletes of all levels
  • Experience designing and implementing strength programs for multiple sports and general student populations
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support athletic programs and student needs
