Holland Hall was established in 1922 and currently serves approximately 1,000 preK through 12th grade students in a coeducational setting. POSITION SUMMARY

Holland Hall substitute teachers instruct students and facilitates their learning in the absence of the regular teacher

JOB DUTIES

  • Provide classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans
  • Maintains a safe and orderly environment
  • Maintains established routine of the school and classroom procedures in which assigned
  • Maintains a professional appearance
  • Remains at school the entire school day, unless otherwise instructed
  • Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and times designated

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree

PREVIOUS RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures for particular age group.

EXPECTATIONS/REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE

  • Must be organized and able to prioritize work
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Possess basic computer skills; familiarity with Google for Education applications
  • Able to utilize a variety of educational materials and resources such as iPads, airplay, and other equipment specific to the content area

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Workday typically place from 7:45 to 3:15.
  • Be able to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Activities include walking, standing, bending, kneeling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual activity.
